Preface

This guide is the result of many years of coaching online store owners. It was born out of a simple frustration: why is it so hard to find a comprehensive resource that genuinely guides you from start to finish without overwhelming you with technical jargon?

Today, WooCommerce powers over 5 million stores worldwide. It's an extraordinary solution, capable of adapting to every project, from small artisanal stores to e-commerce sites generating millions of euros in sales. But this flexibility comes at a price: the learning curve can seem daunting when you're faced with the interface alone.

I've written this guide to save you the hours of research I wish I'd spared myself when I first started out. Each chapter answers concrete questions asked by real store owners. How do I set up my shipping costs correctly? Which payment methods should I choose? How can I build customer loyalty without spending all night at it? Here you'll find practical, field-tested answers.

This manual is not intended to turn you into a WordPress/WooCommerce developer. In fact, that's not the point. My goal is to empower you to manage your store independently, providing you with the tools to make informed decisions and avoid common pitfalls that can waste time and money. This book doesn't claim to be exhaustive and to answer all your questions, but it should provide you with many answers.

Whether you're launching your first store or looking to optimize an existing site, I've structured this content for immediate use. You can read it in a linear fashion, from the first chapter to the last, or navigate directly to the sections that correspond to your current needs. Both approaches work.

One last thing before we start: e-commerce is constantly evolving. WooCommerce publishes regular updates, practices change, and so do consumer expectations. This guide covers the fundamentals that will remain valid for a long time to come, but don't hesitate to keep up to date with developments on the platform. Stay up to date with the latest WooCommerce developments through the official documentation and community resources.

This book was initially intended for a French audience, but I felt it should be made available to a wider readership. So, in advance : I beg you to "excuse my French" !

Happy reading, and above all, happy selling!
